Irie
Jam Media in New York and the Asylum Nightclubin Kingston Jamaica will
be hosting their 5th Annual Caribbean Family Day, Celebrity Soccer Match,
and Food Festival on Monday, May 31, 2004 at Roy Wilkins Park in Queens,
New York.
Last year Elephant Man, Mad
Cobra, Vybz Kartel, Baby Cham, Wayne Marshall, Tanto Metro & Devonte,
Wayne Marshall, numerous radio personalities, sound systems, and promoters
thrilled fans with spectacular moves on the field.
This year the vibe is expected to be just as electrifying when the stars
lace up their boots for this important calendar event.
Irie
Jam Media & Asylum Nightclub Celebrity Soccer Match event includes
a two-hour tournament, half time performances, talent showcase and lots
of family fun activities. In previous years, the event has attracted over
4,000 patrons. This year, with a spectacular array of celebrities and
a variety of Caribbean & American food vendors, the organizers are
expecting well over 5,000 patrons.
"This
year’s event is expected to be the biggest yet. This is our annual
event and each year the event seems to grow and grow with entertainment,
activities, and support from NY Caribbean communities,” noted Booby
