Alexander Correctional Institution in Taylorsville, North Carolina has
a Rastafarian community that meets twice a week. The correctional facility
is a 1000 bed close custody prison with 920 inmates.
Chaplain Dan Redding is seeking donated items and/or interested penpals
to corresond with the inmates. He warns, however, that all incoming and
outgoing mail is checked and read by the mailroom staff. He says that
is generally not a problem for those writing in, but he has to advise
of that beforehand.
