Rejoice
2004 held at Spanish Village Entertainment Complex in Twickenham Park,
Spanish Town, Jamaica turned out to be an evening filled with inspiring
performances.
The artistes really ministered to the gathering as they poured their hearts
out in praises to the King.
The Committed Sisters who officially kicked things off, set the pace with
some wonderful selections such as "Lean On Me," "No Not
One," and "The Blood Prevails."
It was foot stomping, hand-clapping time when newcomer Eric Bryan of the
Free Town Church of God of Prophecy, making his first major show appearance,
touched the stage. He started out with "Climbing Mi Climbing"
and followed up with "Vote Out Satan," bringing the audience
to its feet. He finished off his performance with the very touching number
"Ride Out Your Storm." He then opened up to the audience sharing
a powerful testimony of God's deliverance in his life.
Carlene Davis could do no wrong for the gospel hungry crowd as they lapped
up everything she had to deliver. She took the audience on a spiritual
high with songs such as "Holy Holy Holy," "By Any Means
Necessary," and "Days Of Elijah." By the time she was through,
everyone felt as if they really had received a blessing.
Jabez really ministered with "If Everybody Love Somebody" and
"You Are Healed." He urged the audience to seek Jesus and be
covered under the blood. "If you are not, then you will be vulnerable
to the devil," he warned.
It was high energy time with the Katalys Crew as they did some foot stomping
numbers, reminding the audience that "it is not about the hype and
the dancing--don't leave Jesus out of the mix." They closed off their
performance with a very powerful "You Can Take My Lord."
At 9:30 Stitchie took centre stage with "Praise The Lord," followed
by the thought-provoking "Would You." He kept the momentum going
with numbers such as "Fraud," "Christ Nice," and "Fast
and Pray." Stitchie had the audience on its feet as he did one number
after another.
The final act of the night, Bless a.k.a. Prodigal Son, kept the blistering
pace set by Stitchie. He was full of energy and a whole lot of vibes as
he did "Fly Away, Real Life," "Woe," amongst others.
MC for the evening was Allan Lewis, while great juggling came courtesy
of Marshall Redwood from Praise House.
