The First Annual California Jamaican Jerk Festival & Reggae Concert features Jamaican style jerk BBQ with vendors and restaurants competing for a first place trophy, $500 cash prize and bragging rights for the best ever jerk in California. Special guest chefs include Chef Tally, the 2004 So. Florida contest winner and Patrick Lewis from Ginja Lion's in Los Angeles. Additional international food and crafts vendors will add to the day’s festivities offering something for everyone at this family friendly event. The festival also features the top international reggae music artistes performing the best of roots, dancehall, and old-school reggae music. The Jamaican Jerk Festival Reggae Concert features the Los Angeles area tour stop of the ‘Love Has No Boundaries US Tour’; and King and Queen of Lover’s Rock and Grammy-nominees Beres Hammond and Marcia Griffiths (I-Threes/Bob Marley and the Wailers). Other festival performers include Kymani Marley (son of Bob Marley and Grammy-nominee), top dancehall artiste Spragga Benz, singer Jimmy Cozier, the Harmony House Singers, and more.
