Some of the singles on the "old broom" riddim are reportedly doing well on various reggae charts overseas. The riddim, which was produced by deejay Delly Ranks for his Pure Music Production label, is getting favourable airplay locally. Reggae charts in Atlanta, Connecticut, Hawaii and Miami, have registered some of the songs on the riddim. According to Norman "Bullpuss" Bryan, A&R Manager at Tuff Gong International, "We have been getting a lot of requests for the singles on the riddim." Mr. Bryan further stated that the singles will be released locally through Tuff Gong, in another week or two. Music Ambassadors in New York has been handling overseas distribution. Several record shops in the New York tri-state area have indicated the increasingly popularity of the singles on the riddim. Among the more popular ones are "Old Love" by Delly Ranks featuring Burning Souls, "Gunman Do It" by Louie Culture, "You Mean the World to Me" by Christopher, "Higher Grounds" by Luciano, "Girls We Map Out" by Terror Fabulous, "She Dont Love Me" by Devonte, and "Nah Link" by Anthony B. With a lovers rock beat, "Old Broom" is not the popular deejays first major project. In fact, he co-produced some of the songs on the "headache" riddim a few years back. Other songs on the "Old Broom" are "God Bless the Ghetto" by Power Man, "Movie Star" by Tony Curtis, and "Love is the Answer" by Lukie D.
