Berkeley, CA—The online Caribbean music and culture magazine, Jahworks.org, kicks off their online merchandise store with great excitement and anticipation! The store’s URL is www.cafepress.com/jahworks. The store features t-shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, hats, stickers, bags, auto accessories, baby gear and more, all featuring various Jahworks.org logos and all at affordable prices. “There is a style for everyone,” observes the site’s former webmistress, Robin Kibby. “We were getting so many requests for Jahworks clothing,” says co-founder Laura Gardner, “we had to do something!” Jahworks.org decided to partner up with Cafepress.com to implement a viable solution. The store features the logo designs of Robert Lewis (of Weer Design in Washington, D.C.) and Robin Kibby (of Kibbymega Studios in Berkeley, CA). “Not only do people get to buy these wonderful items,” says Gardner, “but every time they make a purchase, they are helping Jahworks.org with its operating costs.” The online magazine is available free of charge to the international community. “We have a lot of new ideas that we’d like to implement, but we need the funding first,” she affirmed. “We hope that the store will give us that freedom.” Jahworks.org is a free, online, grassroots publication
about Caribbean music, culture, and travel at http://www.jahworks.org.
It is committed to portraying Caribbean and African-based music and culture
with enthusiasm and integrity. The site’s contributors and readers
span the globe from the Americas and the Caribbean to Africa, Europe,
Asia, and Australia. JahWorks.org is a women-owned business based in Berkeley,
California and recently celebrated its 4th anniversary. |
