Lexxus and Santogold - Hold the Line
This is the first single off of Major Lazer's project, Guns Dont Kill PeopleLazers Do, a collection of tracks that draws from the rich dancehall tradition of Jamaica, the futuristic dance-floor-killing aesthetic of producers Diplo and Switch, and contributions from some of the biggest names in dancehall today. The record runs global pop culture through the filter of Major Lazers particular brand of 80s-inspired digital dancehall, at once an homage to a bygone era and a look to the future of dance music.

Shontelle - Roll
Gifted as both a writer and performer, this 23 year-old Barbadian has already carved a reputation in the Caribbean music world over the last several years by crafting hit songs for a number of top artists, all while pursuing her degree at the University of the West Indies. But it was only a matter of time before she unleashed her talents as an artist and performer on the world stage, with the upcoming release of her debut album, "Shontelligence" (Universal), and its first smash single, "Roll". Shontelle's music is an infectious blend of dancehall, reggae and hip-hop, with unstoppable grooves and thought-provoking lyrics that will find fans in every corner of the world.
Andrew Ranxx - Mama
Produced by Korner Stone Productions, this new one from newcomer Andrew Ranxx (b. Andrew White) pays respect to the mothers out there. Ranxx comes from a musical family and he says "I eat and breathe music." He will soon release his first full-length album which promises to showcase his fusion style of reggae, hip-hop, jazz, and dancehall. Queen Ifrica - Fire Muma
As a part of Tony Rebel's camp, the powerful Queen Ifrica is a solid female presence in conscious dancehall, blazing a trail for others to follow. From her initial release of "Royal Love" to the present, the daughter of original Jamaican recording artist, Derrick Morgan, demonstrates her versatility through her lyrics and vocals. This track, "Fire Muma," is based on Peter Tosh's "Downpressor Man" both energetically and lyrically.

Milton Blake - Let Your Light Shine
Jamaican singer Milton Blake is a jewel in the rough. Currently part of the Jah Messenjah crew with Luciano and Mikey General at the helm, Blake is expanding his wings to make a name for himself. With pure conscious vibes, he has performed on many stage shows and recently recorded "Never Stop I" with Capleton. When he's not singing, the Rasta enjoys soccer and cricket, and eating rice and peas with stew and natural carrot juice. This track, "Let Your Light Shine," captures the sincerity and rawness of his delivery.
Wayne Wonder - You
Wayne Wonder, the sweet singer known for hits such as "The Saddest Day," and more recently "No Letting Go" and "Bounce Along," released his latest single "You" in April 2006. Tony Matterhorn - Dutty Wine
34-year-old Tony Matterhorn has a smash hit with "Dutty Wine," soon to be released on VP Records' "Reggae Gold 2006" CD. Known for his selecting skills and his sound system, the deejay has been playing other artistes tracks for years, but not penning many of his own. Matterhorn spent his childhood years growing up in the Kingston 13 area, Meadowbrook and in Brooklyn, New York. On hearing Supa Hype's riddim, Matterhorn said, "Me have di baddest tune fi da riddim deh" and while in the UK back in November 2005, he recorded this track on his laptop while sitting on his couch.
Live Wyya - Only Love
The Jamaican Roots Rock Reggae Band, Live Wyya, has most recently backed Gregory Isaacs on tour, but their band is an entity in and of itself. Founded in December 1999, Live Wyya is committed to their positive message. They were the first band to do Global Beat with Dermot Hussey on RJR. They were also the first band to win the Irie FM Big Break out of over 500 entrants and in late 2005 they won The Global Battles of the Bands. They have successfully recorded and released their first album entitled "Solid Meditation" [Yaad Muzik Records, 2003] of which this track is included. For more information visit www.livewyya.com.
Mark Wonder - Break the Ice
Although Jamaica has no shortage of roots singers, Kingston's Mark Wonder (b. Mark Andrew Thompson) must not go unnoticed. His mother loved soul singers which greatly influenced him and in certain circles, he was expected to fill the void left by Garnett Silk. Wonder's first singles were "Got the Loving That You Want" and "Don't Pressure Me" for the veteran producer Jack Scorpio. Others releases followed soon for many other producers including King Jammy, Blue Mountain, and Jahmaik from Trinity Records.

His first album, "Sign of the Times" [Zola & Zola, 1996] was released in 1996, followed by "Jeremiah" for producer Milton Moore [Soundproof, 1998]. A live album in Switzerland [Trinity, 2001] followed suit, and his most recent album "Break the Ice" [Red Bridge, 2005] showcases his talent well. This is the title track for that album. Nick Newman - Darker Than Blue Remix
Vocalist, pianist, composer and producer, Nicholas Newman moved to New York during his teenage years to attend the Juilliard School of Music. He has sung lead on tour with The Wailers and has performed internationally, including at the prestigious Reggae on the River festival. He has produced many artists and is also a studio musician. He was awarded a B.A.M.M.I.E. (now California Music Award) for his work with the reggae band Strictly Roots. His first solo album, The Nicholas Newman Project, was completed in 2004 and he's in the studio working on tracks for album two (as yet untitled). Nick is the CEO of Triptonick, Inc., a musical corporation.
Demo Delgado - Never Stop Cry
Jamaican reggae artist Demo Delgado currently lives in California and is known predominantly by his collaborations with international reggae star Wayne Wonder. Delgado was featured on Wonder's crossover platinum album 'No Holding Back' with a song called ''Metal and Steel'' and he also co-wrote one of Wonder's biggest songs, "Enemies." Delgado recently collaborate with hip-hop artists Fat Joe and Mob Deep, and has done soundtracks for movies. For more information, click here.
Tosh 1 - Wicked Haffi Bun
Jawara McIntosh, a.k.a. Tosh 1, the son of the late great Peter Tosh, was born in Kingston, Jamaica. At the tender age of five he moved to the United States. Haunted by the murder of his father and continuously perplexed by the unanswered questions surrounding this tragic event, young Tosh desperately sought an outlet in which to discharge his frustration. He quickly developed a love and a passion for the art of rap, and then began to write lyrics of his own.
